Jerry Simmons Presents Paleontology 101
Join Doc Rock on March 15th as he takes you on an incredible adventure into the heart of New Mexico's mountains. You will see why Romans 1:20 correctly describes the Lord's creation as leaving mankind without excuse for their unbelief in God as the creator. Come planning to be inspired - and taking home an incredible bit of God's creation. *** Also, Jerry is planning a Field Trip on/or about May 14th. The Saturday trip will be to either a site near Rio Rancho, or to San Ysidro. Get more details at the meeting.

Recent Letter from Mark Burton to Answers in Genesis
Answers in Genesis,
Thank you for the article "The Amazing Motorized Germ" by Steven DeVowe and the promotion of Unlocking the Mystery of Life DVD in the Dec-Feb 05 issue of Creation Magazine. Albuquerque recently made the news when the PBS station KNME refused to air Unlocking the Mystery of Life. Creation cannot even get a foot in the door when atheists control the media to the point of censorship. The debate is not even over the existence of God, but the evidence pointing to design. Atheists are so afraid of "creationists," they are trying to silence the debate rather than examine the evidence.

I sense a softening of your response to ID in the Jun 04 AIG newsletter. "ID followers could certainly direct people toward many religions-but not likely Christianity. 'Secular prayer,' 'secular education,' 'secular marriage' (e.g. 'gay' marriage) and now 'secular creation' are all steps towards increasingly rejecting the Bible in this culture, and eliminating the teaching of the truth of the Creator. Education, prayer, marriage and the teaching of creation/design are ultimately meaningless if they aren't based on God's written revelation-the Bible. 'So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God' (Romans 10:17). Romans 1 offers a description of where this culture is heading. Ironically, 'secular creation' (ID), touted by some as a solution to problems in education, is really a part of the same old problem-unwillingness to accept the Bible's authority."

Rom 1:20 says "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." KJV I believe the truth will lead people to Christ and the truth must start with a person's basic understanding of reality. Paul "reasoned with them [the Jews] out of the scriptures." Acts 17:2 Paul approached the Athenians differently. "For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you." Acts 17:23 An unknown god sounds pretty "secular." Yet Paul led many to Christ.

I hope to see more encouragement and reporting on the progress of ID in your future publications. Thank you again for Steven DeVowe's article.

In His great love and power,
Mark Burton

Spring Feasts of the LORD Leviticus 23 1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: The appointed seasons of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My appointed seasons. 3 Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of work; it is a Sabbath unto the LORD in all your dwellings. 4 These are the appointed seasons of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their appointed season. 5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at dusk, is the LORD'S Passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD; seven days ye shall eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work. 8 And ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days; in the seventh day is a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work. 9 And the LORD spoke unto Moses saying: 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring the sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest unto the priest. 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you; on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And in the day when ye wave the sheaf, ye shall offer a he-lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt-offering unto the LORD. 13 And the meal-offering thereof shall be two tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savor; and the drink-offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. 14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor fresh ears, until this selfsame day, until ye have brought the offering of your God; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
